This piece was written quickly in the wake of the loss of my dear mentor, Sarah Gibson. The grief in this piece is not metabolized nor worked through. I present it to you as I felt it. Before I learned of Sarah’s passing, I wanted to write a piece about physical restraint and constrained possibilities. This piece exists in a world with a smaller set of possibilities because of Sarah’s absence.
